ATTENTION JOE LOUIE WATER ASSOCIATION CUSTOMERS
The Joe Louie Water Association is obligated to supply water for domestic residential use before any outdoor watering or lawn irrigation. During the summer of 2015, the Association pumped water at its maximum capacity for several weeks straight. The demand on the system was so great that the storage tank dropped to dangerously low levels.
Given the projected dry hot summer this year we are implementing water use restrictions again this year.
The Association notifies customers annually to voluntarily conserve water by reducing outdoor use, but this voluntary conservation approach has not been successful in reducing summer water demand.
Effective June 1, 2016 the Board of Directors adopted a “Mandatory Summer Watering Schedule” and implemented a Rate Increase. If summer water use is not reduced in the months ahead, further conservation measures may be necessary including but not limited to more outdoor water restrictions and rate increases.
MANDATORY SUMMER WATER SCHEDULE:
May 1 – SEPTEMBER 30 ***** BEFORE 6 AM and AFTER 8 PM
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
